Ideas for teaching KS1 cross curricular themes and topics

Use these interactive animations in the classroom for multimodal learning.

'Pirates' - There’s a lot to find out on this interactive history resource. Pirate activities include ‘flaps’ to navigate to different pages and find the treasure in The Pirate Treasure Map Co-ordinates Game.

‘Teddy's Time’  - Teach ks1 time using this interactive numeracy animation.

'Colour' - Watch the purple clowns tumble and the butterflies flutter. Click on each colour splodge to see lots more.

 

'Opposites' - A KS1 literacy/science resource including light and dark, short and tall, etc.

 

An interactive nature resource - Seasons - see the colours change from ‘Winter’ to ‘Spring’, ‘Summer’ to’ Autumn’ and listen to how the sounds change with the weather too.

 

'Vegetables' - Water them and watch them grow! What does the fully grown and cooked vegetable look like on your plate?
